Master Bath BEFORE & AFTER

MASTER BATH BEFORE
TINY, TINY, TINY, NOT MUCH TO SHOW
EXCEPT ALL THE MOLD! NOT GOOD

DID I THINK THE PINK PAINT (SWATCH ON WALL) WAS GOING TO MAKE IT PRETTIER?

WE ENLARGED THE MASTER BATH WHEN WE ADDED ON TO OUR SON'S ROOM (THEY SHARE A WALL) THIS IS THE INSIDE OF THE HUGE SHOWER. ALL OF THE TRAVERTINE IS FROM LOWE'S & HOME DEPOT AND I DID ALL THE TILING MYSELF, SUPER SIMPLE

WE DID HAVE A PLUMBER INSTALL ALL THESE SHOWER HEADS & BODY SPRAYS AND RUN ALL THE NEW PIPES. SOMETHING WE WERE NOT CAPABLE OF DOING.

THESE SMALL SQUARE TILES CAME IN A SHEET SO IT TOOK THE GUESS WORK OUT OF MEASURING

I FOUND THIS GREAT MIRROR AT MICHAEL'S, THE CRAFT STORE! SOMETIMES YOU CAN FIND THE BEST THINGS IN UNEXPECTED PLACES! THE CAST IRON FLOWERS IN THE BASKET I GOT AT THE SAND POINT ANTIQUE AND DESIGN MARKET

THE SHELF WAS A TUESDAY MORNING FIND. TUESDAY MORNING THE DISCOUNT STORE, NOT THE DAY OF THE WEEK I BOUGHT IT ON. CANDLES FROM IKEA, CHEAP, CHEAP, CHEAP PLACE TO GET BULK CANDLES. WE PUT IN A HUGE SPA TUB WITH JETS! CALGON, TAKE ME AWAY!

ONE OF MY FAVORITE FEATURES, AND IT WAS MY HUSBANDS IDEA, WAS TO PUT IN THIS TV! IT'S A FLAT SCREEN, BUT NOT TO BIG, AND IT IS MOUNTED ON A SWIVEL SO YOU CAN WATCH IT FROM THE TUB, OR WHILE YOU ARE GETTING READY. HE ALSO INSTALLED "MAKEUP LIGHTING" OVER THE VANITY! YEP, HE'S A KEEPER!
THE FLOOR IS TRAVERTINE, FROM HOME DEPOT. THE VANITY IS FROM HOME DEPOT. IT WAS DARK WOOD AND A CUSTOMER RETURN. IT WAS A LITTLE BEAT UP. IT WAS MARKED WAYYYYY
DOWN. BUT, DID YOU KNOW ON THINGS LIKE THIS YOU CAN BARGAIN EVEN MORE? YEP, YOU DON'T HAVE TO BE AT A GARAGE SALE TO TALK DOWN A PRICE. WE GOT IT FOR A STEAL! THE TOP IS A SOLID SURFACE GRANITE, ALSO A HOME DEPOT FIND. MY HUSBAND POUNDED A NAIL IN HERE AND THERE WHERE IT NEEDED IT, AND I PAINTED IT (RALPH LAUREN ROADSTER WHITE) AND ADDED THESE APPLIQUES! VOILA! KNOBS ARE HOME DEPOT TOO!
FIXTURES ARE ALL KHOLER AND IN A BRUSHED NICKEL FINISH.
THE HAMPER IS SHABBY CHIC WITH A FLUFFY PILLOW FROM HERE!
I WOULD STILL LIKE TO DO SOME SORT OF WINDOW TREATMENTS, MAYBE IN A BROWN AND CREAM TOILE. JUST HAVEN'T MADE MY MIND UP YET!

I have a favor to ask you, would you tell me how you paint your furniture so that it gets that "weathered" look! I have painted a few pieces of furniture & they came out good, but I don't know how to get that distressed look to give it more depth. Iw ould greatly appreciate a tutorial :).
Thanks

What an amazing transformation! I love the new look, and that shelf with the candles gives it such a rich look. Nice job with that. I'm especially jealous of your flat screen in the bathroom. I would LOVE to have a TV in mine. Maybe someday.
