not my day

Some days are worse than others, I realize that. Even though it was raining non stop this morning, I set out to get a few more supplies for my projects I am working on. While I was out I swung by the Goodwill to see if there were any treasures. None today, it's always hit or miss there. I only spent about 15 minutes in the store and when I came out look what was waiting for me! My car....keyed. Seriously not my day.

If you can look past the dirt :) you will see a nice long scratch and on top of that a big X and another shorter scratch.
I reached for my cell phone to call the police, but realized I left it at home. So, I went inside and called 911. When the police officer arrived he told me that in the past 2 years he has had 10 or more calls for keyed cars parked on this same strip at that same store, and every time they are nice cars. He said he thought it was a jealousy thing. So, I am being punished for having a nice car? Whatever. It's not even noon and I am done. Sorry to be such a downer, but it's just NOT my day!

I look at your blog A LOT..and I'm not sure if I've ever commented. I always love looking at your crafts and your decorating....but with this post I feel you hurting. I agree that people can be so very cruel, and jealousy can certainly get the very best of some people..but that gives them no right to destroy other people's property. Often those who are jealous aren't willing to work to get something as nice as you might have. Anyway...didn't mean to ramble...just wanted to let you know I'm saying a little prayer for you...and also for the person who did this to your car!!!

I am so sorry that someone did this to your car. That is just mean and it makes me so upset for you! There are so many people in this world who have a chip on their shoulder and take it out on innocent victims like yourself.

such a low life to do that to someone's car. When my sweet, sweet daughter was in high school, she dreamed of the car she wanted. And because she was such an awesome teen, good grades, never in trouble, we bought her the car. And don't you know, some jealous kid keyed her car in the parking lot. just makes me so mad.....

that happened to me once too-- and right outside my kids' martial arts studio--- not smart to mess with someone when there are a bunch of black belts inside. It sucks and cost a pretty penny to get it fixed too =(((( so sorry!

That is just mean...people can be so cruel, but thankfully, there are more beautiful people in this world then ugly people!!! I hope that your day gets better and that sunshine comes your way!!!

So this happend outside Goodwill?? Wow, it never occurred to me that someone might be jealous of someone who isn't less fortunate shopping there. People like that should consider where the money you spend actually goes. I'm so sorry. That's awful!

So sorry this had to happen to you. Hoping you find something good today so the jerk who did this does not 'win' :)

Oh I know you had to be absolutely livid!! Knowing me, I would've thought to myself..."this is the difference between people who go out in this world and make something of themselves and those who don't." Those who don't, have that kind of character flaw! What goes around comes around. The person who did this will have their bad day too! You might try parking away from the store next time and make your car less vulnerable now that you know the type you're parking near! Sorry to hear of your day being shot because of this.

I love your blog too and I'm sorry
to hear what happened, but next time you see the scratch try to aleast be thankful that you have a car. I'm mean it is just a car. scratches, spills, ect. - they are part of life. Is it fair that someone did that - no, of course not, but there are far worse things that could happen. One of the residents at the care facility where I work is a young lady, a mother who was in a car wreck and is now quadraplegic. Very sad, when you are exposed to stories like this everyday it makes something like a scratch seem very insignificant. Not trying to make light of it - just saying if we all knew how blessed we really were
we probably wouldn't let insignificant frustrations ruin our day.

Hey! Sorry to see that damage to your car! It hurts when people are mean for no reason and then there's the insurance company to deal with and that's worse!

You'll forget all about it in no time and in the meantime let me say that you haev impeccable taste.

I loved the blue post just before this one! I've been staring at that picture of the multicolor wall behind the bed for awhile now! Love that...and the tables you showed!

Keep up the great work!

Oh No! Thats horrible! I cant believe people sometimes! Dont let it get you down. I always try and remember in times like these that God will get the mean spirited people one way or another. You might not see it but they'll get their "come uppins"!
Love the pictures you posted of blue.

What a major bummer! This happened to my husband's car once. I can't believe people.

Same thing happened to my oldest daughter's car when parked in the high school parking lot. At least insurance covered the repairs. No deductible, since it was vandalism....not that that helped the hurt feelings of a 17 year old.

So sorry this has happened to you. Try not to take it personally.
