I did this last summer. I held out for almost 10 years because I love wood, but I'll tell you, it was so refreshing to walk into a light and airy den. It completly changed the mood of the whole house. (for the better) happy painting! xxx kim
Oh you brave girl you! While I have adored your room for a long time now and totally love that style, I am also excited to see the changes you will come up with. We will all benefit from the eye candy and inspiration!
I had to use Kilnz (?) first and then it still took 3 coats of oil based paint! It is worth it. We are sharing our favorite Elvis stories over at diningwithdebbie.blogspot.com. I hope you will come and share yours. Mister Linky will be up Tuesday for Crock Pot Wednesday entries.
You are going to wonder why you didnt paint that YEARS ago..Its going to make you space so much larger and up to date, not that I didnt like your space prior, but...I think its going to be a great addition to the rest of your house, YAY! its going to be fun to watch your transformation, girl! Oh, and hope you bought lots of paint. That wood is sure to suck up the paint.
