Wow, amazing decor at Curious Sofa. Ive wanted to cover my house in crows for a while but I can't find enough birds at the right price to do it. But this photo is inspiring me to keep looking for future years.
I think the crows are great idea for a "sophisticated" Halloween motif...don't think I want to have them year round though...reminds of the movie "The Birds"...Yikes! Love the white room, so peaceful.
Melaine, you know I always thought it was Melanie until today- dyslexia kicked in reverse, I guess. Anyway, the crows are very Halloween-like w/out all the Spook!
You know, I was thinking, you seem like the type of blogger who may have a nice Bonsai tree growing somewhere in one of these beautiful rooms of yours. I am trying to grow one in my living room and I have a pic of it on my blog today. If you have any advice about that, let me know over at my place.
Hello! This is my first comment here. I found your blog over the weekend while I was researching the ektorp sectional (I'm using your post to convince by husband). Anyway, thanks for the pictures. They are inspiring me to bring out my Halloween decorations. For one reason or another, they've not seen the light of day in years!
Wowzers, the birds would totally do me in...I mean, I REALLY don't dig birds. It would be awesome to decorate w/ them for Halloween...but it would put me over the anxiety edge for sure. I'd have to go to that sweet bedroom there in the last picture.
I did this sort of thing in my home several years ago for a party. I bought some crows but compensated by cutting them out in various shapes from black paper and then taping them on the wall. Also cut out a black fence and put that along the bottom of the wall. I wish I had pics, the effect was fabulous...Martha Stewart used to have templates for crows and bats on her website.

I black birds in trees outside my front door. They look so real. I'm going to take pictures right now.
