~after school snack~

Last night we all carved our pumpkins.
Today I am left with a ton of pumpkin seeds that I don't want to see go to waste.
Therefore today's after school snack is:
Sweet and sugary baked pumpkin seeds!
here is how to make them!
Preheat oven to 300 degrees.

Coat those left-over pumpkin seeds with a simple mixture of butter, cinnamon, and sugar, and bake for 45 minutes, turning frequently!

here are a few more variations if sugar is not your thing!

{oh my!}

1 1/2 tablespoons margarine, melted
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon garlic salt
2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
2 cups raw whole pumpkin seeds
3 tablespoons white sugar
1/4 teaspoon cumin
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
1 pinch cayenne pepper
2 cups raw whole pumpkin seeds, washed and dried
cooking spray
2 teaspoons salt, or to taste
1 tablespoon olive oil
2 tablespoons white sugar

1 1/2 cups raw whole pumpkin seeds
2 teaspoons butter, melted
1 pinch salt

2 cups raw pumpkin seeds
1 1/2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
1 1/2 tablespoons butter, melted
1 1/4 teaspoons seasoned salt

Those look so yummy and it is a healthy snack at that! We did the salty version with ours. Instead of butter we used olive oil.
I like the idea of the sugar ones!Yummy!

Melaine, I am traveling Europe right now and we just stopped in Vienna and when I walked in the Hotel Rathauspark they had your music playing....I couldn't wait to get on the computer and see what you were up to today! I always wanted to do that for my kids with the pumpkin seeds, now the grandkids will get some, thanks for sharing!
