This has been quite the week for projects around here!
I have always wanted a giant bulletin board, and when I saw this frame at a local thrift shop, I knew it would be perfect!
It was marked $24.99, but I had a $3.00 off coupon.
So home it came with me!
I picked up a roll of cork at a craft store for $9.99 and used some spray adhesive I already had to marry the two together.
The whole project took less than 5 minutes and

I am so
happy with the results!
I can't wait to hang it!

The best part was that I didn't have to paint it or do anything to it.
It has a gorgeous patina with chippy cream paint and a hint of gold!

It's huge, the inside measurements are 24" x 30"

I still have to "share" it with the exercise equipment, but I think it will still turn out OK!
Stay tuned!

Hi Melaine, I am a first time commenter on your gorgeous blog. I have been looking at your blog for some time but just had to comment today as this project was on my 'to-do' list for today!! I love how yours turned out, it has inspired me to make sure I do get mine done today. Yours is gorgeous - thanks for the inspiration - Tina.

SO nice!!!
I sure wish I had extra time to do fun projects like this. With a 2 year old and a 5 year old at home (Kindergarten all day next year!) It's hard to just keep the house clean. lol
You are talented!!
What a great find, I love that idea, I think I may need to check out our goodwill and see if they have a great frame that I could do the same!

I love and admire your vision !! If I passed that frame in a thrift store, I never would've thought I could turn it into a beautiful, one-of-a-kind corkboard. Thanks for the inspiration !! I'm still in awe of the Provost plaque from Ballards that you recreated. Take care, Becca (Adventures in Decorating)
Wow, that is fantastic! I had no idea that cork came in rolls! :)

Nice little bulletin board, noticed that you have it propped up on your new chair. :)
looks great! : )
i would love to see pics of your craft room- gym equipment included. it's nice to see how people integrate things like that into their homes.
love your blog TONS!! xo
What a fabulous frame!
I think I'm the last one in blogland to NOT have made a bulletin board out of anything yet. I'd better get with it before they're outa style. :)

Are you for real?!?! Things are just do dreamy over here :)...loved visiting.
I love it! Okay, what I want to know is where do you "thrift shop"???

Fabulous! You are giving me all kinds of cheaper alternatives to my Ballard's wish list. They better watch out;)
I have a frame I've been wanting to do the same thing with but I haven't been able to find a piece of cork that would be big enough in all 1 piece. Was yours?? If not, it looks like it.
