~I'm in the mood for love~

And a little bit of red spice!

I am on the computer procrastinating.
Would you believe that I still have 3 Christmas trees up?
Ugh.
I want to snap my fingers and have all the Christmas put away and have some lovely reds like above instantly transform my home into a Valentine haven!

Why is it that I spend SO much time getting ready for Christmas just in time to wish it all away, by magic? Where are the Christmas elves when you really need them anyway. Putting Christmas away has to rate as one of the BIGGEST downers. Maybe that is why here in Europe they leave it up till February. (No thanks!)
Wishing you endurance as you put it all away! Love the new ornaments you are working on.
Happiness from Poland!

So pretty! I have 2 (sale) pillow covers from PB in a red/white toile I have been waiting to use!
It took me a whole week to put away Christmas! So frustrating-and today I found a little tree peeking out from a bookcase...I almost tossed it!

how delightful .. at the moment I am having a love affair with red and blue with a dash of pink thrown in ... so I just loved all these pics.

And I know what you mean re xmas ... this year for the first time I had all xmas away - except outside lights - by dec 30 - it was a real change for the better .. the lights are still up as we are in wet season and I am waiting for MIC to have a dry day to take them down ...

BTW I live on a savannah too - the gulf savannah in far north west Queensland Australia .. so I think of you and your delightful savannah and thing how different my wild hot wet one is ... makes me smile :) best le

I tried twitching my nose like Samantha to make all the Christmas decorations pack themselves away, alas... I had to do it manually but had an unexpected snow day off school to get the job done. Love your blog.

I just finished putting the last of my Christmas decorations away. Every year I say I am going to put less up, but it seems I never do. It took me all morning and into the afternoon to get it packed and stowed. It is hard starting, but now I feel like a weight has been taken off my shoulders. Love the red, are you thinking Valentines?

I can believe it because I just got all of my trees ( I had 6 full size) down and put away. I love putting it all up but I hate putting it all away.

I loved the photos. I am so into finding some cute V-day decor so I have been on the look-out over at TJMaxx and Pier 1 and hopefully, Target soon.

Hello, my name is Barb - and I am a procrastinator. Welcome to the club. I have most stuff down (still waiting to get boxed) but the tree still looms tall and waiting to be dismantled. Ugh! I have so much fun decorating, but so dread the take down. I still hope the Dismantling Fairy will show up in the middle of the night while I sleep. So far...she's a no show. Damn you, Fairy! Great pics.

I still have three trees up too, one of them being the 15 footer! Maybe if I procrastinate long enough, they will just go away! :) A girl can dream! LOL!

Great pics! ~Rhonda

This puts me in the mood for Valentines Day! It's my very favorite holiday because it's all about love without the pressure of other holidays. I love the candy hearts and everything pink and red and the little valentine cards the children trade and everything else about it! (Even though hubby says it is not really a holiday:()

Seems everything right now is white so it's great to see some color.

BTW - the 12th day of Christmas was last week so it's appropriate to still be enjoying a little Christmas. I read on one blogger's pages yesterday that she decorated one of her trees with hearts so that she could leave it up through Valentine's day!!!
