~guess whoo?~

We were sitting in the hot tub last night when my husband pointed
out someone spying on us from far up in a tree!

I ran inside and grabbed my camera and took quite a few pictures of him.

My kids were in love.....
He is pretty cute! xoxo

What an absolute beauty. We had a little owl in our yard last year and it was such a surprise and delight when we discovered him. Beautiful photos!

What a cutie he is! And, "hot tub"? I'm jealous! You don't get too many hot tubs in the gardens of England ;O)

Melaine,
When I used to stay with my Granny, I always slept with her in her bed, and there was an old hoot owl that we would listen to, perched in a nearby tree. Thanks for sharing your hoot owl.

How awesome is that?

As I think (?) you know, I live in the Historic District in Snohomish. I used to help out at my friends Wedding Chapel half a block away. An old Baptist Church that she bought (Belle Chapel).

Anyway, at night I used to hear these noises that sounded like a bad fan belt on a car. Then my friend who owned the Chapel told me that there were owls living in the belfry.

One early summer morning at dawn I was sitting outside on my steps and a HUGE WHITE Owl swooped down on the otherside of the street, aparantly interested in some "critter" hurrying under a huge old Holly tree. It was incredible. I've had one other sighting in recent years, but I think they may have moved away when the church belfry had to be restored. : ( But they were/it was incredible!

Hope you see it again soon! You'll have to give it a name!

Hugs,
Shell

What great photos. We too have an owl who hangs out in a pine tree in the neighbors yard. We like to swim at night and we see him silently flying over the pool to his tree. When our Chihuahua was a puppy we never let her go out at night because we were afraid the owl would thinks she might make a tasty snack.
Thanks for sharing your owl pics.

I use to think owls were cool until I heard many stories about them eating chihuahua's. Now when I take my little ones out in the yard I am always looking out for owls. I'm always on the owl watch.
