~Spring fever part 2~

It has been odd, but nice, to be able to work in the gardens this early in the season, mow the lawn, and prune things back. This unusually warm weather has me in the mood, not only for Spring, but Summer as well!
I am already imagining myself planted on the beach everyday with a good book {or magazine} while the kids swim in the lake.
Yes, I said everyday......
it's going to be a grueling summer! :) These photos from here, are just what I needed!
Aren't they beautiful!
We are so blessed to have such gorgeous weather!
I have been able to get off the treadmill and actually run outside, which usually never happens because it's always raining in Seattle!
Yesterday I went for a run with my daughter and she kept up with me for 3 miles!
Cody rode his bike, it was beautiful out and we are expecting another beautiful day today!
Hope you have a little sunshine in your day today!
p.s. have you seen this and this.........................2 things you should definitely look at!

Hi Melanie,
I really enjoy your blog & so loving your playlist today! The duet w/ Kenny Rogers gave me's been so long since I've heard that and of course the Carrie Underwood song "I told you so" is probably my absolute favorite right now. Wow ~

If you can, come by and see my frenchy bedroom makeover & enter my jeanne d' arc giveaway!

Melanie, you have such fun ideas and great posts. I was wondering if you had any ideas on how to use old barn wood. I have an insane amount from a farm that we just bought and I want to find a great use. Any ideas???? thanks annie

I was able to get out in the garden today as well and it felt so good to sink my fingers into the dirt and smell the earth warming up. I love Spring!

Oh Melanie! So cruel...we here in Australia are just beginning to head into Autumn and Winter (even though it was 31C today here in Melbourne - sorry, not sure what that is farenheit though it was hot - as usual!!!). Love those sweet pics.
