~a backyard party~

I want one so bad I can almost taste the sandwiches!
This is the time of year I start to long for the long summer days. I want to get together with friends and have
a good old party,
country style!

I want to decorate, decorate, and decorate some more.

I want to have tables filled with home cooked food and forget the diet.

I want to break out all my vintage dishes.

How easy would these be to make?
Scrap booking paper comes in so many beautiful colors
and patterns now, you could do anything!

I want to serve drinks from old buckets and pails.

Have fresh flowers on each table.

Give a little gift to all of my guests;
a cd filled with my favorite country tunes.

I want to pick flowers from my gardens
and put them in mason jars....

....and eat and talk until the sun goes down.

If I only had a big old rustic barn.

We could dance.........
or I could sit and watch you dance,
because I have two left feet.

Doesn't that sound like fun?

If you'd like some recipes made with fresh strawberries click here.....
and here.

I made my favorite Christmas music on a mixed cd but this looks adorable with the bandana cover and I love the popcorn cones! Do you buy the paper or copy your own? Girl - you are quite the part momma and friend!!! Jennifer jennsthreegraces

Jennifer, you can buy the scrap booking paper and just fold it into a cone, use double stick tape to hold shut! It would also be cute with a little twine around it and maybe a name tag? Or a little yee-haw! Melaine

Count me in~ I even have the right boots to wear! Love this idea and yes, a barn or even a guest house/shed disguised as a barn would make me VERY happy!
Great post.

Great post. I spent a summer with family friends in MA when I was a teen and they families were doing parties like this every weekend. They would take turns hosting and it was just fabulous, I'll never forget it. Wouldn't it be great to have a wedding like this?

Nothing beats getting down on the farm. The Sunflowers here are the perfect companion to the modern country feel of the parties. Enjoying the new blog find!
