The scent must be intoxicating and the presentation....seeing it now...I don't think any other vessel would do these fabulous blooms justice....gorgeous!! Happy Weekend xOxO Nerina
What a surprise to see them in a lovely basket! Great idea! My first thought would be to grab the nearest large vase, but you took a nice creative spin. I just love lilacs. :) Lara
here in KY, my lilacs were at their peak about 3 weeks ago. If you opened up the back doors, they filled the whole house with their perfume...they WERE indeed heavenly!
I bet your house is smelling fabulous right now. I agree peonies are my favorite, I think they are the roses of spring. I try to only cut enough for my kitchen and living room so that when I look in the yard it still looks beautiful. Have great day.
How beautiful, love the basket...of course I love your home and kitchen. I have been a fan since RMS days. I miss seeing your rooms. I can almost smell the lilacs. hugs, Donna
Wow, you have a thoughtful sister-in-law! Lilacs have a glorious aroma, but I'm with you peonies are my favorite. I checked ours here in the middle-Atlantic states today. The ants haven't started doing their duty on opening them up, maybe in a week or two. [email protected]
Peonies are my favourite too and have just bought a teeny lilac plant for our garden...looking forward to it growing and producing gorgeous blooms just like the ones you've pictured. So pretty. xxx
Gosh you make everything look beautiful !!! By the way I emailed you to tell you I received the Wisteria clock hands and posted about it on my blog if you want to see the pictures. Thanks again, Sylvia
How beautiful! I planted tiny lica bush's last year and one of then has teeny tiny blooms. so exciting! I have a few years til we have some to cut... but, I'm sure it will be worth the wait!
Those are just beautiful, looks like a cover to a magazine! I really enjoy your blog. I have started one of my own, check it out. http://ms-smartie-pants.blogspot.com/

I grew up in Minnesota where we had three lilac bushes in our yard. I miss them so much as now I live in South Texas where it is too hot for lilacs.
