~anyone up for a online garage sale?~

I am cleaning out my closets!
I have a ton of quality items that need to be sold so I thought about selling them on my blog.
Has anyone ever done this before? I'm a little confused on as to how it would work.
I am imagining I would put a price and a photo
of the item and the first person to email me would get it.
Does anyone have any better ideas, and should I even do this?
I have a lot of quality clothing too, since I lost weight they just sit in my closet....
I'd love to hear your thoughts!
xoxo

I did it on my old selling blog, just show the pic with an explanation of the item, price and first come first serve! Use paypal, worked out great for me:) Good Luck!

Congratulations on your weight loss. I thought we couldn't sell things on our blogs. I don't actually know why I thought that, humm.....I had better look into this.

Sherri - there are actually templates that you can download to attach a store to your blog. It's a simple cart feature combined with paypal. I was surprised to find that out too because I, like you, didn't think you could sell through your blog.

Yes do it...1st come 1st served. I'd love to see any decor type stuff u might have! I think you can even post a paypal "buy it" button along with each item where a person clicks on it and pays thru paypal. Once it has sold everyone else will get a sold out message. I've seen this on other blogs before and have been wanting to try it myself. Good luck!

I've done this a couple of times, and I did it auction style. The first person to comment accepts the item at the price listed, however, if someone else is willing to pay more, they comment with a higher bid. Whoever has the highest bid at the end of the sale gets it!

I think it's a great idea (may have to do this myself)... have a cyber sale on your blog or use your esty shop (you can do that, can't you?). Can't wait to see what you have to offer. :)

I would be particulary interested in designer bags and shoes if you put them up here for a decent price. Good luck!
