Hello Monday!
How are all of you?
Well, as you know I did a little decorating over the weekend.
Not a ton, but I thought I'd share with you my dining room shelving.
I left my kids' silhouette plates as they were just the right color for my scheme.
I also left up most of the white ironstone platters and my black chalkboard decal.

I used a huge vintage white sap bucket as my vase.

Most of my decorations I picked up at Michael's arts and crafts.
One of the things I used the most of this year is this spanish moss.
It's really inexpensive and I love the natural element and texture it brings
to the display.

I can't remember where I got this toe tag.....

I used some more books with no covers, tied with garden twine.
The spiders
are just the little cheap plastic ones and the crows are from my ever growing collection!
in a old chippy wood tote filled with spanish moss.

Hi Melaine,
I love everything you did especially the skeleton poster you found and taped up! Great idea about spray painting the orange pumpkins cream, I'll have to try that with mine.
Have a great day and beautiful job!
Sincerely,
Melinda

Looks so great, I went for the less orange this year as well. I really love how you have to look closely to see the "creepy" parts!
Looking forward to your front porch. I have not tackled that yet myself!

Looks great! I love that you found a use for tarnished silver.
Everything looks great. My favorite is the skull with the spanish moss coming out all over!
love it!
it is magazine worthy!
Awesome gothic glamour! I found a bunch of crows at the dollar store and put them outside. if they get stolen or fly away no biggie. Kept the finer feathered indoors of course. My fav is the toolbox thingy as well, filled w. moss. Can't wait for part II...
Your "toe tag" is actually a tag used by airlines for airline personal not paying for a flight. Crew flying in the "dead head" seats in the back of the cockpit.
But great decor!!
Well, you did it. Somehow you made a skull look cozy! It all looks, sweet (for creepy stuff) and fun.
I love, love your design skills.I wish I had your creativity ! where did you get the chalkboard stencil ? I would love one !
Looks amazing, I love the humor you were able to incorporate!
Love it! I also don't personally decorate for Halloween per say, but I do set out some Fall-ish things like brown transfer ware and ironstone filled with gorgeous fall colours. However, I'm hosting a 5 course Harvest Dinner party later this October from entirely local ingredients and wine from local wineries. These are some fabulous ideas for a centerpiece! I too only pick the white pumpkins and love the look of the spanish moss (especially when combined with chipped and rusty bits!). Can't wait to see the front porch!
The decoration looks amazing, congrats!
classy meets spooky. Love it!
I loved wall decorating. it's amazing. I am, sarah, fan of all good decorating ideas :) thanks for these
I always love looking at your home for the fall season. It is beautiful!!
Love the white pumpkins. You've inspired me! We are celebrating my baby's first birthday this weekend- Vintage Cowgirl theme. But after her sweet party is over, the pumpkins, spiders, and cobwebs will be coming out!
i have to tell you one more thing... this post inspired me to get a toe tag for either halloween decor or a creepy costume. i participate in an annual 5k fundraiser halloween friday every year, and it would be perfect to run in. well... my mom works at the hospital and i asked her if they still used those. they do! so, i asked her for one, and she was mortified! but, she got me one! :)
Wow, this is beautiful! It's very classy which is hard to do when it comes to Halloween. Great job!
