Beautiful Baby Alpaca Yarn. Looking through the color book at all the different colored tassels of yarn, touching them one at a time, dreaming about new throw designs
The Ancient Art of Weaving. Sitting at a loom with a throw in process, looking at the fundamental technology of the instrument, and knowing that we’re using technology that is over 2,500 years old
The look on someone’s face as they engage with our throws or blankets for the first time
Sitting down at our dining room table with friends enjoying a meal of grass-fed beef steak and potatoes and salad, or free-range chicken and artichoke hearts and carrots, and knowing that everything on our plates was raised here, on our farm, by us
The view from the deck on the front of our house that looks out over the Panther Creek Valley toward the mountains beyond, covered by fir forests and draped here and there with whispers of clouds
The smell of fresh air in the morning reminiscent of camp
The couple shares this with us:
On our small studio in the Oregon wine country we hand-weave some of the world’s finest natural fibers into the most elegant, luxurious, and cozy blankets and throws to be found anywhere. Yarn spun from very fine baby alpaca fiber is first woven into fabric using weave structures selected especially for their beauty, drape, and texture. To our throws we add a loom-tied, delicately soft, finely crimped fringe. For our blankets we hand-weave a fine silk fabric and use it as a binding on all four sides.
Our throws and blankets are woven to provide the look and feel of luxury to enhance the most elegant interior design and to be almost irresistibly soft and warm. We create only a small number of pieces each year so we work hard to make sure that every one is a treasure.

I ordered the one pictured above, the Tattersalls.
It's supposed to be a throw blanket for our sofa, but I have to say, I have been sleeping
with it~ I can't put it down!

Wow, I love the look of all the blankets! They look so cozy and like I could stay all day curled up under one.
These blankets are true works of art! We have an alpaca farm a few miles from our home, they are amazing creatures.

Love every one of them, But my favorite one is the cream one.
If they are as soft and cuddly as they look...I'd love it and NEED her in Wisconsin!! So cold! I'm going to go check out their site right now!!!
These blankets are awesome! And I agree with Sarah they are works of art!
Their blankets look so beautiful. They remind me somewhat of the handmade blankets produced by the Swan Island Blanket company here in Maine. I wonder what a blanket made out of baby alpaca fur feels like? It sounds so soft.
Wow! That white one is dreamy! I am a blanket fanatic anyway...can't have too many!

The blankets are heavenly and gorgeous! I think if I cozied up with one I'd never want to get up. I need to put one of these on my wish list.
They look amazing. One can never have to many blankets, right?
Love your blog, by the way.
Beautiful! I was ready to order one, but my husband would kick me to the curb if I spent that much for a blanket! Lynn
why yes!they are beautiful and probably worth the high price on the tag, but a bit to rich for my budget and I will go out on a limb here and guess they won't be getting a ton of orders for the same reason. We decorating blog fans are looking for THAT look, but for alot less. NOTHING can be soft enough to justify that much muula. Sorry, just my thoughts...
Beautiful. I went to the site to check it out and then saw the prices. Yikes. Maybe if I win the lotto :). I have to agree with the two posts before mine the first being my husband would kick me to the curb and the second being I don't believe they will be getting a ton of orders as beautiful as the throws and blankets are. I would love to find something similar though more in my price comfort zone.
Ugh, baby alpaca how cruel and way too much $$
WOW THEY ARE BEAUTIFUL BLANKETS BUT AT A WOPPING 650.00 I SURELY CANT SEE PAYING THAT MUCH CHEERS TO THOSE WHO CAN BUT THEY ARE VERY PREETY XOXO SHERRI
Love how beautiful these are. They remind me of my favorite scarf that I've had for years. Wish I could afford it! But even at 50% off I cannot. Boo!!
