~a rather delicious dessert~

Yesterday it snowed here.

It snowed like I haven't seen it snow in a long time.

The kids played outside from 9-7, only coming in for hot chocolate and to warm up by the fire.

Once they came in for the night and got all warmed up, we made these yummy peppermint patties to go along with, yes, more hot chocolate.

I will say, it is a good combination!

{sorry about the typos in this recipe, my keys on my laptop are sticking} I found the recipe here,

and photo,

mine didn't turn out as pretty.

But they are oh so good.

I think we'll make these again on St. Patricks day with green food coloring.

Thanks for all your kind words on the new adventure I am setting out on.

I am beyond excited!!!

xoxo

Yum! I love peppermint patties, but never thought to make my own. Not only is this exciting because I love them, but it's a gluten-free recipe that I don't have to make any adjustments to. Thanks for sharing this recipe.

i made darbys peppermint patties! so good, they were even fun to make. i added enough sugar to make the "dough" workable but i have to warn you, they did dry out after only a couple days. but the first 2 days they were delicious.
