~my niece turns 2, a cake, and a winner!~

We celebrated my darling little niece Lyla's birthday on Saturday, she turned 2.
I made Meg's rainbow cake.
It was very easy and so pretty when you cut into it!
And most importantly, the birthday girl loved it!
I love her big blue eyes!
Happy birthday sweet girl!

I made that cake last Sept when my daughter turned 3. There were gasps and oooohs and ahhhs when I cut into it. Now my 6, going on 7 year old has requested it for her bday in a few weeks. Unlike you, however, I found it to be a huge amount of work. I'm going to have to check out Meg's recipe. I used Martha Stewart's, which requires 16 eggs!! It was incredibly delicious, though!
