~designer crush~

This is John Derian's home in Provincetown, Massachusetts
I am in love with this antique butcher block!
For the bedspread he used a vintage sari.
Very interesting.
 Dinner or ping pong?
The previous owner’s wallpaper is left intact to provide a backdrop for a 19th century tufted French bench & c. 1850 tattered horsehair and muslin chair.
Texan tumbleweed fills an unused 19th century fireplace.
I love all the texture in his home.
John Derian is a genius, plain and simple.
Wouldn't you agree?

I think he is too. I've loved his art work for almost 20 years. And thanks for Amy W's music. I loved her too.

Oh yes, I do think he is genius. Of course, I love that he puts all kinds of things together as opposed to the perfection created by of so many designers. He pulls together fabulous things and then the end result just has so much soul. Thanks for sharing.

That tumbleweed is awesome. When I was growing up (in Texas), my across the street neighbor had a Christmas tumbleweed every year. I thought they were the coolest people on the block. One year...I need to make that happen here. TX/NM themed Christmas!
