~September 1~

One of the cool things for my daughter in Jr. High is the fact that she gets her own locker.
Now, as you know, school lockers aren't as cool as these in the photos, but it's still a great storage solution for junk, papers, sports equipment, and in some cases, dishes, or kitchen items like cleaners you want hidden, or out of a little ones reach.
I love that people are using these in all rooms of their homes.
Perfect for office storage....
 or extra serving pieces....
or a craft studio, love this!
Hands down though, the photo below is my favorite.
Looks like these are smack in the middle of a family room, or maybe the entry to the home.
Wherever they are, I am loving them!
Don't forget to enter the minted giveaway I posted about on Monday.
I am picking a winner tomorrow!

Oh how I love these lockers!

I dream of finding some that are affordable in the near future.

This is a great collection of fabulous uses for these pieces from our past.

thanks Melaine!

I'm with you, LOVE the white lockers in the living area. Wish I could find some like that. They would be a great solution in our entry hall for skis, boots, jackets, etc during ski season.

Love, love, love the old gym lockers! A bit of vintage metal in a room is always a good thing!

i saw some of these pictures over the last few years and kept wondering if i could make lockers work in our remodel...and shockingly found an old woodshop station when we went looking for old farmhouse tables for our island. the base is made up of 6 substantial lockers i painted gunmetal gray with a 3 inch top of wood (all cut and scratched from years of students). and the amount of canned storage i've fit into them - SHOCKING. anyhoo, i don't quite know how to link you over or give a link but the blog is and if you dig a bit it's there.

Lockers are awesome! We were fortunate enough to pick up a set of eight gym lockers when a local high school consolidated with another school. They're currently housed in our mudroom and the kids use them to store their book bags, shoes, and sports equipment. At $100 for the set, it was the best organizing investment I've ever spent! Now, just to give them a pretty coat of paint. The current navy blue just isn't working for me. :)
