I just love that there are beautiful finds at any price point, that we don't have to settle on something else entirely just because we love a particular style!
I like the HD one a little better, definately still gives the same feel as the other and being a bargain shopper I couldn't make myself believe I needed the other for the little bit of difference. Both are beautiful though!
Great find! I absolutely love Restoration Hardware lighting, but it just doesn't fit our budget but this home depot fixture does! Thanks for sharing. Carrie
Love the size and price of the HD one, but also love the rusted look of the metal on the restoration chandelier. I'd probably "rust" up the black band. (Are these called wine barrel chandeliers?)
I am so glad I found a chandelier almost identical to the RH one at Homesense which is Home goods here in Canada for .... $169.00 I can't wait to install it in my new house next month , lol
I actually like the Home Depot fixture better, I love the touch of black, gives it more interest, but I love touches of black in my home so naturally I would love this fixture!! I say go for it if you truly love it, the price is great, Kathysue
The Home Depot one, for sure! It goes so far beyond builder basic, so what if it doesn't have the same extent of implied patina as the expensive version? It conveys the same sense of style. I like it! The savings - WHOA!
I'm going to be the lone dissenter here, I guess. I really think the hook HD used to hang the lamp from the chain is cheap looking, and I also don't like how the HD chandelier has the tube running down the center. Maybe it would look better if it was painted, but I have seen other similar versions of this lamp besides the HD one that do a better job of imitating.
It's like one of those magazine articles: which is the high end shot! Not sure it is worth all that extra money just for the RH name, but ultimately we have to love what we choose! Tracey
Imagine, you could buy that beautiful HD chandy and have money left over for a beautiful piece of furniture! Quite the deal. It really does pay to shop around and look in unexpected places.
I truly like the more expensive one better. It has finer lines and better proportions. But it is a lot to pay. If I absolutely couldn't afford the better one, and if I absolutely had my heart set on this look, I could probably settle for the Home Depot version, but I doubt I would be completely happy.
I think the HD version is a great economical option... (I'm all about decorating on a budget!!!) If you want the coloring/finish that is on the expensive one, you can always fix is with a little paint/glaze. It is so amazing what can be done with a bit of paint! Blessings, Diana

i actually like the black accents on the hd version better...so i definitely think it's a good swap.
The Home Depot one is just as beautiful and if you wanted you could add a little bronze rub n buff to the black. It would look identical!
Ooooooh! I have been looking at this chandy for my dining room and the Home Depot one is much more budget friendly!! Great find!
I adore the one from Home Depot!! Easy on the eye and budget!!

Just think of all the other things you can buy with the savings!
WOW! You should definitely purchase the HD one!

I would totally do the HD one for that savings! If you somehow can add some paint to the black piece then they are just about identical.

I've always thought RH was a little overpriced. Maybe a lot overpriced. They have great ideas, and I think that's the reason they are there. haha

HD, of course!!
You can take that oil rubbed bronzing stuff and change the black to a gold or something of that sort if it suits your fancy more.
Our Home Depot has it for 249 : o ) Love it!
my goodness! that is love! i would TOTALLY get it if i were you....i wonder if they have that around here.... :)
Home Depot all the way!! There is not much difference in the two and for that price, I would be running to HD.
Definitely the HD - but I would bronze it up a little.
A no-brainer for me. I like the HD version better anyway.
Ummmm....Duh! ;o) Hope you're having a marvelous weekend! Smiles & Hugs ~ Robin

Presto! Chango! Little masking, little paint will make that HD lite, what it...ain't!
...and you saved $2000!
Great find!

The HD one of course...once you have it up you will love it...and the savings!
Such good advice from everyone on what you can do to add to it!
I like the sleeker look to Rest.Hardware's - and the rust look myself
but heck, if you have a budget, then the other option is great too!
