I discovered this cool website and being the neat freak I am, decided that I needed all of our favorite family recipes neatly compiled in one stylish book.
I am really excited to get it and I can't wait to share it with you!
Almost every page has a photo, all taken by me, and if it turns out as well as I think it will, I will be ordering copies for family members for gifts.
I watched the video tutorial before getting started.
Normally I skip this part because you might remember my middle name is impatient.
However, after 3 hours of screwing up my photos, I thought it might not hurt.
Now what I have is a 100 page hardcover book of delicious family recipes.
My hope is that this book will be in our family for generations to come.
Let me know if you create one!
And the blog that got me all excited about this is right here.
xoxo

I have been on the clover lane blog before and saw this great idea. Yours looks fantastic, I can't wait to see how it looks inside. Organization plus family memories all in one. Beautiful!!
What a great idea! I have folders notebooks and even a large ziplock full of recipes! I am always worried I will throw them out by mistake!
How fun is that? LOVE it! I am sure it will be beautiful. Brown eggs are my favorite.
Blurb is also great for turning your family blog into a scrapbook. I have been using it for 4 years now, it has a lot of uses and flexibility. The cookbook idea is brillant!
Oh, I love it. Wasn't it fun after you figured it out? (Had to watch the video tutorial too. :) I use it daily, and one day (far in the distant future) there might be a volume two. Yours is beautiful!
I love this idea! You are so awesome for sharing this. I just might give it a go. In all my free time.! Lol. Lulu
love love love this! good to see you yesterday!

I love Blurb! I used it to create a bridal shower gift for my sister asking the guests to submit their favorite recipe with photos of themselves with the bride and/or groom. Blurb did a great job! Loved laying out the book myself.
I LOVE that you did this and told us about it.
I've been wanting to do one of all my mom's famous recipes.....she's a wonderful cook and baker, and I'd love a book of her favorites long after she's not with us anymore....
HI! I originally came to your blogs through Jones Design Company. I just had to comment because I love Blurb! I've made a few books with them (and even blogged about them http://tinyurl.com/83ouqj4) and am SO happy with how they turned out. Hope you'll post more pics of yours once it comes! I really do need to do a cookbook too.
Now that is a nifty idea. I've got a binder started but a hardback would be nice. May put that on my TO DO List.
