~craft night~ {ugly Christmas sweaters}

What do you get when you combine ugly sweater making + friends + champagne?
A really fun night!
Last night was craft night at my house and it was a blast.
We made the ugliest Christmas sweaters and some really cute button ornaments.

Check out some of these ugly creations {although, some are more cute than ugly!}

Aren't they great? I purchased all the sweaters second hand, as well as some of the decorations for them. Some other decorations were found at the dollar store.
I think everybody should host a ugly sweater craft night!

xoxo

What a great idea! I've wondered how hard it might be to find a Christmas sweater if I ever need one for a Christmas sweater party. I never thought of just decorating a plain one. That would be much more fun too! :-)

Why didn't I think of this! We have an ugly sweater party coming up next week and with this becoming more popular, it's getting more and more expensive to buy ugly sweaters second hand. But this is brilliant! I think I may need to make matching ones for me and my husband. ;)

That's great! I went to a Christmas party that had an ugly sweater contest and I won. I follow you on instagram. You can see the pic here on instagram: http://instagram.com/p/hreO68lqAi/

I pinned this yesterday because I thought it would be a good idea if I went to an "ugly sweater" party. So, today my adult son came over and said he was going to one but couldn't find a sweater at Goodwill so bought one at Walmart. I told him I could make him one free so we found an old sweater we didn't wear anymore and I made one in less than an hour. I used felt for a snowman, hat, and scarf, buttons for eyes and some awesome snowflake sequins. Thanks for the idea!! It was actually fun to make!! :)
