~world market does it again~

Last night I dropped Savannah off at soccer practice.
An hour and a half of freedom from kids and puppy.
So, what did I do? I got a latte and headed to World Market.
Here is what I walked out with, although I think I am going back tomorrow!

Shhhh! Don't tell.

I got a set of 6 of these delicious plates in the soft green color {upper right}

And 2 of these candles. I am seriously obsessed with the fig scent and the color is gorgeous, AND I can reuse the containers!

Here is what I will probably be going back for tomorrow:

These salad plates {can't have too many right?}

This wood salad bowl

This elephant tea towel was so cute!

And I am thinking these glasses would go nicely on a spring table setting along with my new plates!

Seriously, I feel like every time I go in there, there is so many new things! And it certainly helps that they email me coupons all the time!
{as a part of their royalty reward program}

Have you found anything good there lately?

xoxo

I popped in the other day and my location is moving down the street, so they are discounting the entire store up to 75% off!! I almost had a heart attack. They are even selling their store fixtures. I seriously had the BEST shopping day :)

ps. LOVE your blog, and your posts!

I even find that with most of the stuff I buy there, I still like it years later. Cheap chic that you don't get tired of after a year. I have baskets, wood furniture, white dishes, and neutral decorative things. I choose carefully only what I really find pretty, but I am amazed how good most of it still looks to me. They do a great job. And there is that imperfect handmade look to a lot of the stuff that gives it soul.

I love your house, BTW:)

I don't have a World Market near me, closest one is nearly 2 hours away. Lucky you to have one close. Love all your buys. I would certainly go back today and purchase their entire stock of those adorable tea towels. A perfect hostess gift to give with a box of special tea and perhaps a tea stainer.
Enjoy your trip back today ;^)

I stopped by a store in LA on Monday and scored eight chargers in two colors - green & plum - that were in the 75% off Christmas stuff. 16 chargers for $12. Can't wait to set a St Pattricks day table with the green ones.

I missed seeing the plates you picked up. I might have to make another trip.

I have a cabinet that I would like to paint similar to this one: https://www.jossandmain.com/Paula-Deen-Home-Orleans-Display-Cabinet-in-Spanish-Moss~PDH2040~E8847.html Do you have any suggestions on how to achieve this look? Do you think it is green paint with some dark wax? Or is there some sort of white added? Or a glaze? etc.

Just got chairs for my kitchen table at Cost Plus World Market. My husband and I built a farmhouse table using oak tongue and groove barn wood for the top. I wanted the french bistro chairs. So I sold my former table and chairs to pay for the new chairs. When I called the store closest to us (in Kennesaw, GA), they had no bistro chairs in stock and would not have them again until April! I was sick! Long story short, I called every store in the Atlanta area and even the one in Chattanooga, TN!I Ended up getting 2 chairs from the store in Buford, about an hour away clear on the other side of Atlanta, and 2 more chairs from the Buckhead store down in ATL. That was about a 4 hour adventure all over Atlanta! BUT, I have my chairs and LOVE them! :)
