I want to win this so badly. I went once a couple years back. My daughter and I stood inthe rain for hours waiting in line. I also love shopping from the guys at Uber Chic. I bougth a large dough bowl from them. I saw the gorgeous round cutting board hanging in the booth and they said it was sold. Later I saw you posted it on you blog that you got it there. I was happy it was you that bought it! Hope to see you there this year.

Arlene said...

That last comment from Eliza Buttars is from me. The computer was logged in under my daughter's name. She attended farm chicks with me a couple years ago.

Great giveaway! Good luck everyone! My very favorite part of farm chicks is seeing everyone who has the same interest in the shabby funky vintage junky goodness treasures. I've have never seen someone not smile while walking through each booth. My favorite memory of farm chicks was last year. My mom had just passed away a few months before and my best friend said "are you sure you are up to going?" I said "yes but let's go on Sunday where it's a little more relaxing." As we was walking though I ran into my mom's very best friend and her daughter. Even though I cried like a baby when I saw her, it was a very special moment.

Holly said...

How delightful!!! I've been going to the Farmchicks show, almost since the beginning ~ back when it was held in the little town of Farmington. I love this show! Over the years I've had 3 of my best friends join me and it's the highlight of our year! I love all of it!
But a favorite tradition is at the end of the day we all arrange our purchases in a charming little display and give a brief story about it and what our favorite purchase was...so fun!!
This year, I'm taking my newly married daughter and adding her to the tradition! Can't wait!!!
Thanks for the chance to win!

I have only been to Farm Chicks once...two years ago. My favorite part was probably just spending the weekend with my daughter junking. Of course, we both loved the great VARIETY of wares available...our favorite picks were some numbered railroad nails that we had fashioned into cuff links for my husband (we got two #26's-his old football number), some vintage old reader books that we made into a bunting for my other daughter's baby shower, and some vintage stamps. This year we are going again and SO EXCITED...she is moving into her own place next year and I'm buying a new home so we have a long list ;)

I have always wanted to attend Farm Chicks, but Ive always been on the board of directors for our local farmers market and opening day is always the same weekend. :O( This year I resigned to focus on my own business. (and junk obsession)
So I am definitely making the trip out this year. Im looking forward to seeing some of my other junking friends and how they set up their own booths, and getting junk drunk myself. :)

SO fun! I went to the Farm Chicks show for my first time last year and was so inspired by all of the great rustic pieces of furniture, grain sack pillows and runners and vintage crates (just to name a few!). There was so much creativity in booth designs and displays! The highlight for me was meeting Serena! : )

I went last year for the first time with my cousin-in-law (is that really a term?). My favorite part was seeing everyone's ideas for re-purposing items I had not thought of. I also bought my son boots for taking care of his pigs & chickens. I had told her I may not be able to afford to go this year (hubby had a long winter/spring lay off) but I'm still contemplating. Free tickets would fix that! amberhanes@hotmail.com

I absolutely love Farm Chicks and would not miss it! I don't think I can pick just one favorite part. I enjoy seeing everyone's creative talents and the products that come from them. Last year I was so lucky to shop for my vintage country themed wedding. (Which turned out perfectly thanks to Farm Chicks) This year I am blessed to be shopping for decorations for our new home. A girlfriend and I have made it a girls day tradition, and can not wait!

OMG! I have gone to 5 FC in the past 6 years... even camp each year at the Spokane river w/my glamping gal-pals... then junktique our hearts out at FC!
Since I am pretty much a vtg. linens/hankies & apron 'hoarder'... lol! I beeline to booths that carry those sweet goodies... and my 2nd fave booth is the on that sells all those kitschy tooled leather handbags (like the kind all us teen gals used back in the 1970's)heehee.
SO there you have it, linens & leather handbags with what ever else catches my eye.
Thanx for having this fun giveaway.. got my fingers & eyes crossed to win! :>)

I have been going to farm chicks since it was in Fairfield, Wa. It was a great outing for myself and my friends. We were all mothers of young children and having a day to get out of the house and spend time doing "girl stuff" was heaven! Now we are a little older but the fun is still the same! Heaven!

Last year was my first time going to Farm Chicks. I was there for hours (I think 5 hours) and only bought one thing. I was overwhelmed by all the exciting displays, the fun and beautiful itmes... I didn't know where to start. I did help my friends and sister find furniture and decorations that look so nice in their homes (I'm a little jealous and wish I had gotten more). I have a better idea of what to expect this year and can make a game plan.

OH, ONCE YOU GO TO FARM CHICKS, YOU'LL GO AGAIN & AGAN!!!!!!!! Ahaha

I go every year with my mom, and we just love it! Our favorite booth was Country Farm & Frills last year, we bought an awesome vintage ice chest. We also bought an old 1950s washing machine that had been converted into a fountain in addition to a beautiful bench made from a table and an old door. Where else would you find such great stuff?! Everything is so unique, and there's something for everyone. I just recently got into sewing, and they also have vendors with beautiful, old lace. See! Something for everyone! :)

See you there! ;)

My two daughters and I came for the first time last year. It was absolutely amazing! We felt like little kids in a candy shop! My favorite thing was shopping for treasures with my girls. We all love antiques, but have our own style and things we like to collect. We really had to limit ourselves with only a pickup to get all of our treasures home to Idaho. This year we are planning on coming back, with the next generation, my granddaughter who is 4 months old! You can never start too early. And we may need to rent a U-haul this year! I went to the Farm Chicks show for the first time in June 2008. It was just weeks after having my daughter. The show was my first 'outing' with my wee one. My grandmother, mom, and both my sisters came too. It was our first 4 generation day! Our first 4 generation photo was taken at the Farm Chicks show, and my precious little one slept the entire day, allowing us to search for all the treasures we could hope for.
My daughter is now 6 and my grandmother is 86, we are planning to go again and capture another great photo of our 4 generations of Farm Chicks fans!
My daughter is looking forward to finding some great vintage items for her new room, and I just can't wait to spend the day with the amazing ladies in my family!

I will definitely be going again this year, for my second year! Last year was my first time going, and there were a couple things I will deem my favorite:
1. The atmosphere, not only inside but in line as well. I loved chatting with my friends and making new ones while munching on yummy caramel corn. Met people from everywhere. So fun!
2. My mom has been going for years, and it was so wonderful to experience it with her, finding all sort of new things (including a most awesome vintage bowling shirt I wear when I geust lecture for her class when they screen The Big Lebowski).
3. My mom bought me a purse from Tailfeathers a few years ago. I get more compliments on it than any other thing I have ever had (except my darling daughter, of course!). And last year I finally got to meet the gal who made the bag who has brought so much joy and conversation to my life. She is amazing!
I can't wait for the show this year! Hooray for Farm Chicks!!

We would be thrilled to have more money to spend at the show!! Donna D. Boise, Idaho donaldsonpdd@msn.com

Yes, I have been fortunate to attend Farm Chicks! and, yes, want to go again! Would love, love, love to win!! The thing I loved the most at the show was the excitement that was palpable in the air from the time we lined-up in the morn, on through our first entry ... easy to see in the eyes of the guests - and such excitement in each booth too!
Hoping... fingers crossed!

I just got the time off approved and am going for the first time this year with my daughter. She is the last to graduate college so she is looking to begin to accessorize her first apartment and I am re-doing the downstairs library/TV room now that the post-college budget has a little breathing room. We are so excited to attend - it looks beyond fabulous.

I live in Spokane so I get the luxury of going every year! It's true it's the greatest antique show around. I love the vendors, the atmosphere, and all the wonderful things that junkers love. I always bring something home with me.

As a military spouse I have had the opportunity to live in Washington near Tacoma for the last few years, and it has always been my goal to go to this show. This is our last year here and I've made it my mission to make this trip finally happen before we move away! I am so excited to finally have the chance to go, I've been saving all my pennies! Haha. It would be so incredibly amazing to win this, because every little bit helps when you're trying to plan such a big trip! Thank you for even the chance to win! I cannot wait to finally get to experience this show.

I've been 4 times, and plan to attend every year in the future! My favorite part is the anticipation. I spend the weeks and months leading up to the show searching Pinterest and Etsy for things I might look for, I print a list so I don't get overwhelmed and forget what I came for. I spend the days before looking at Facebook posts and blogs of some of the vendors hoping to get a sneak peek at their items! Last yesr, I found a light-up globe at the very first booth and I knew the price was great since I had seen them on Etsy for much more. Still one of my favorite finds! I live about 90 minutes away, this year I'm hoping to stay the night so I can shop again on Sunday, a weekend pass would be the perfect excuse for that! ;) Please, please, please pick me! tamivik@hotmail.com

I have been blessed to go two times to the show...once with my best friend and once with my cousin. We had an amazing time and loved seeing all the fun things, finding new treasures and sharing in the joy/inspiration of all the other guests and vendors. This give-away couldn't come at a better time as it didn't seem possible to go this year as I lost my job and couldn't justify going. Either way, thank you and know I'm a loyal Farm Chicks gal...our paths will cross again I'm sure!

Yes, as a farm chick myself, I can't stay away. I live about 4 hrs. away, but always love standing in line and talking with the people that have flown in from Texas, and New York, etc. It's amazing. I take my little daughter who is in training to be a farm chick and I love how she interacts with the vendors, and she is looking forward to it again. Always love spotting that one amazing treasure I didn't know I needed. :)

I went about 8 years ago with my sister. We drove from Bellingham in her SUV( about 6 hours). We had so much fun just the two of us. We listened to 80's music(our era) and ate junk food. We stopped at every garage sale. We stuffed that SUV the the brim! My feet were on the dashboard all the way home! A old chippy headboard(now used as our headboard)door, and soooo many other awesome treasures! I would love for the two of us to go again!
