~DIY applique dog pillow~

I have a small collection of vintage fabrics that I cherish.
A lot of the scraps are leftover from clothes my mom made me when I was little.

So, I decided to use a small scrap I had to make a pillow with a lab silhouette.

You can follow these instructions here.
{just swap the dog silhouette for the heart cutouts, and pls. note the iron giveaway is now closed}

What do you think?
From a scrap of a piece of fabric that my mom once made me a dress out of, to a cherished lab pillow sitting on my couch as an adult.

Pretty special to me.

I love it. My grandmother made lots of clothes for me, my sister and our cousins. One year she took all those scraps and made a patchwork quilt for my mom. Its such a special collection of memories for us.

That's cute! And a great way to incorporate sentimental fabric!
