~sugar detox~{day 1}

Hello.
My name is Melaine, and I am a sugar addict.

A latte without vanilla?
Unheard of.

Pancakes without pure maple syrup?
No thanks.

Sliced strawberries without sugar on top?
Why?

So I am curious.
I am curious to see if my allergies will get better after no sugar, wheat, and dairy.
I am curious to see if I will have more energy.
I am curious to see if my "puffiness" will go away.

14 days.
I can do this, and hopeful I can keep it up longer.

I found this article helpful and you may too if you are interested in doing a sugar detox as well.

Wish me luck!
xoxo

Melanie sounds like the Whole30, it's totally doable and I have 3 young kids. Get to day 5 and you're golden, no puffiness, no lethargy, you'll want to workout harder and longer. And then when you do drink/eat something sugary it's total shock. Do the Whole30 if you can do the 14 days.

Melaine,

You can do this, girl. Remember this: "Sugar is simply white poison." End of discussion. It serves no nutritional purpose and is the culprit for a myriad of ailments, disease, and addictions. Ridding it from your diet will improve your quality of life in countless ways and you will see this improvement almost right away. Best decision you'll ever make. This is a promise.

YOU CAN DO THIS!

You can do it! I'm currently on day 17 of a 21 day sugar detox. Im a mom of 3, and NEVER thought I could do it. My entire family.. sisters, brothers, mom dad and in-laws are all doing it. Amazing how we all feel. Most noted difference.. allergies, natural energy throughout the day, satisfied after a meal and for many hours after, weight loss(bonus) I was a latte drinking sugar junkie! The first week was by far the hardest but by the second week it was becoming easier and easier. Being at parties is difficult and still tests my will power. Crazy how much sugar we truly consume. We are thinking of extending and are definitely cutting way back on sugar in the future. Not always do you lose weight but we all did. My husband lost 20 lbs! You can do it!

You should think about doing the 30 Clean! I did it with my husband in May and it was so easy!!! We've both lost weight (not the reason to do it!) and have completely changed our relationship with food. Check it out: http://www.the30clean.com/

Good luck with your sugar cleanse!

You can do it! It's so hard. I did it for a couple months but then I caved on my birthday and I've never been able to go back but I so need to do. Word to the wise, if you last 14 days, I would just keep the sugar away permanently. :)

I am so anxious to hear what your outcome is. I think about doing this, but always use the too hard excuse. Can't wait to see what you think!
