I recently purchased a vintage secretary desk in a rather run down state.
I am in the process of making over my $39.00 piece of thrift shop goodness, but turned to Pinterest of course for a little inspiration!
All of these images can be found on my "for the home" board.
I cannot wait to share with you the before's and afters.
Decisions, decisions, decisions.

The navy secretary with the coral interior would be a stunning, eye catcher! Good luck.
Can't wait to see how it turns out! I'm sure it will be amazing!!

Good luck with it!

My favorite finishes that would prove to be tirelessly time-treasured are Photo Nos. 5, 6, 7, 10 and 11.
I, too, have an old secretary that I want to paint. Can't wait to see what you do with yours. Jo @ Let's Face the Music
For only $39?! My goodness. Las Vegas doesn't seem to have the luck when it comes to little treasures like that in thrift stores.
#3, the grey with the hot pink interior... I have that exact piece in my garage. It was in my room as a child. My mom had painted it YELLOW, then "antiqued" it with some kind of glaze. Eventually she had it stripped and now it sits, waiting to be born AGAIN. My husband keeps threatening to get rid of it (it's not in great shape....), but I won't let him. Thanks for the inspiration!
I LOVE all of your inspirations! I cannot wait to see how it turns out!
My husband has a vintage secretary he picked up at an antique store for a few bucks. It needs a lot of work but you show some great ideas here. This is sure to inspire him to transform the one we have in our basement so we can bring it upstairs.
My Father in Law recently passed and two of his kids are fighting over the secretary :/
I like the first one and the gray one but I know it will be fabulous no matter what.
