~for visual learners~

Are you a visual person when it comes to decorating?
I am for sure.
I like to be able to see what something will look like before I spend the money to create it.
Here's a little trick I do that I wanted to pass along in hopes that it may help you too.

Many phones have collage apps. I use PicStitch on mine, but there are a lot.
If you don't want to do this on your phone, you can do it on your computer using a website like PicMonkey.

The example I will use for you today is our dining room cabinet.
There are many ways you can style the top of it.
Here is a picture of our hutch that I have saved on my phone.
{I didn't use this one, but a similar one}

Last night I was browsing through Pinterest and saw so many different cool vignettes.
So I saved the pictures to my phone and then using the PicStitch app, created these collages so I could see what these various vignettes might look like on top of our cabinet.
Mind you, these are not to scale, it's just for fun to be able to visualize different ways of styling.

What's your favorite?

And, I didn't limit myself to cabinet top styling in my Pinterest search.
I used photos from console tables as well as entry tables and fireplace mantles.
Hopefully you can use this handy tool also!

xoxo

Smart girl! Since you cabinet is a little tall, I vote for the blue transferware with the hydrangeas or the simplicity of the baskets on top.
