~one room challenge reveal~

Wow, this has been a busy 6 weeks!
I want to first of all thank Linda for including me in this One Room Challenge.
It's always nice to get a fire lit under you to get rooms completed!
I would also like to thank the following sponsors for their generosity:

Also, a huge thank you to my friend Jill who helped me make decisions, and was there for me every step of the way!

This room I found super challenging to photograph, so please bear with me through my mediocre photographs.

I have several favorite things about this makeover.
First of all, the chandelier.
It's a showstopper, and makes a huge impact for little money.
I added little edison bulbs from Lamps Plus and it casts a really pretty glow.

The rug runner from Karastan is also gorgeous.
Not only is it pretty, but it is so soft and thick.
I like the fact that it starts outside the shower and runs all the way to the vanity and tub area.
It covers all the basis with one runner.

It is also National Karastan Month {April 21-June 7th at participating retailers} where you will find the lowest prices of the season. No interest until January 2019 plus a $1,000 back coupon. Whether the preferred decor is high style, trend-concious, family living, or romantic escape, Karastan has a product that helps consumers #livebeautifully.

Here is a before and after of the space:

One of the biggest changes was taking our cottagey vanity and giving it a modern twist with black paint and new hardware from LuxHoldups.

The vanity top was also replaced with this seamless ceramic one from All Modern.
It's so clean looking and really updates the space.

I flanked the vanity with these two cabinets and I love, love, love all the new storage!
Inside the cabinets I got all new fluffy white towels from Joss And Main, baskets from Lamps Plus, and the cutest storage bins from PineCone Hill.

Over the vanity is this oversized round mirror which I pretty much am in love with.

The artwork is all from Minted.
This big piece you see on the left is cleverly hiding a window that I no longer wanted.
Go here to see the links to the artwork.

All the beautiful millwork was a labor of love.
It was provided by Metrie.
I picked the Fashion Forward collection.
I have no previous experience with putting these kinds of mouldings up, so this was a new experience.
It took me a couple hours to get the hang of it, but once I did, it was pretty easy.
There was a lot of measuring and cutting, but it went up easily and I am very happy with the results.
It adds a richness to the room it otherwise would not have had.
I think my favorite part is the architrave above the windows and doors.

These monogrammed towels are from Haley Parks Designs on Etsy.
I love anything monogrammed.

The robe below is so soft, I want to live in it.
No joke, if you want to feel like you are wrapped in pure softness, get yours here.

Another big change is the roman shades in the 3 windows.
A big departure from the old ugly wood blinds that were once there.
The Schumacher fabric from Decorators Best is so fun.
They were made into these great roman shades by Sew Custom Decor on Etsy.
They were a dream to work with and very professional.

This great modern sconce was made especially for this room by Lucent Light Shop.
You have heard me rave about them before, they are truly the best in custom lighting!
I added Edison bulbs here too to tie in the look with the chandelier.

Oh Wow! Funny, if you could be my design board for our bathroom remodel (hoping to start soon) it is very similar. I literally have the same black cabinets with the glass doors replacing our linen closet! Can't decide what I love more, the chandy, the cabinets, the artwork! Everything! I may steal/borrow some of your ideas. Thanks for the inspirations on getting my butt in gear to get started. Great job!! ~Rosanne
