~Summer home tour~ {part 1}

Welcome to our summer home tour part 1, 2016!
If you are new to my blog, I'd like to encourage you to take a look around and stay a while.
Looking for new recipes or diy projects?
Look at the tabs on the top of this page to take you directly to them.

Are you coming over from Restoration House Interiors?
Wasn't that tour fabulous?

This year the lovely hostess Julie Blanner invited me to share a peak into our home decorated for summer.
I am the last stop on the tour today, but tomorrow you can pick up where you left off and visit Jen  from City Farmhouse.

Our family of 4 lives on a small lake outside Seattle Washington.
We are all home bodies and like to spend our summers working on our fixer upper, paddle boarding, fishing, having friends over for BBQ's, having bonfires, and spending time with our 2 yellow labs.
You can catch more of our daily lives on my instagram account here.

Let's dive right in with our master bedroom.
The top portion of our walls are painted "graphite" by Benjamin Moore.
It keeps the room cozy and it still stays bright with the natural light and all the white accents.

I am a huge fan of linen bedding and love having lots of pillows and blankets.

These 2 salvaged sliding doors are leading to the closet and to the master bathroom which I will show next.

This room was just made over for the One Room Challenge which you can read about here.
Please find shopping links on that post.

We spend a lot of time in our living room watching movies or just hanging out.
The cart by the sofa holds extra blankets for cuddling.

The photos above the sofa are all pictures from our neighborhood back in the 1920's to the 1950's and are very special to us.
The coffee table was my husbands train table when he was little.

And right off the living room is our large deck with hot tub that overlooks the lake on one side and the backyard on the other.
We recently gave it a mini face lift which you can read about here.
All links to furniture, etc. are there as well.

Thank you so so much for taking the time to tour a little part of our home today!
I will be showing the rest in a part 2 on June 9th, so if you'd like to see more, please come back then.

I hope you have a wonderful rest of your week!
