I have had a thing for them for years, but not enough wall space. However, I think the time has come to actually make room in my home for a gallery of them.
My only problem is, they are either really expensive, or the "look" on the subject isn't really right.
I mean, you wouldn't want to hang any up that look like they are mad right?
I found just the perfect one at an antique mall the other day and I will be sharing it on my instagram later today!
I just love it.
But for now, here's a little inspiration:
I never really thought of them working in a modern setting, but look how they do here:
For my taste, these are a little too stuffy, but I just wanted to show you some in a modern setting. The lady on the bottom right I do like though.
These are more my style.
My friend Heather Bullard found these in Paris:
The color tones in these are fabulous.
See how great they look when grouped together?
Or even alone. I like the idea of framing them too.
Check out this whole house tour also, it's a good one!
Look how updated they look in this chic loft!
Here's a few I found on etsy for under $150.00:
This handsome man is $90.00.
This particular one is not old at all, but to me it looks vintage!
Here's a nice lady one:
I feel like they are getting harder and harder to find. If you want to start a collection, only buy it if it really speaks to you.
And now, onto the winner of the Fourth Of July Patriotic tank from Shopjoyworks!
Heather Sebastian you have won! Congratulations, be on the lookout for an email coming from my or Shopjoyworks!
