~DIY ginger jar lamp bases~{thrifty Thursday}

I wanted to add some height to my ginger jar lamps in our living room.
Here they are:

Here are some bases I was looking at. The only problem was, I couldn't find any bases sold seperately that I liked, or that were in my price range.

Then when I was thrifting the other day I came across these plastic plant pot things. I don't even know what you call them, saucers? But, there was a bunch and when stacked 3 high and turned upside down, they work as a base!
Ok, these won't be the permanent bases for my lamps, but they are a good temporary solution until I can find exactly what I am looking for!

I bought 6 at 99 cents each, stacked them 3 high and spray painted both "piles" with brass spray paint, set them under the lamps, and voila!

You'd never know they are plastic saucers, so fair now, they will do just fine!
