~how to make a rustic paper towel holder~

It can be hard to find a cute paper towel holder, am I right?
So I decided I'd make my own using pipe from the hardware store and old reclaimed wood I had lying around.

For this project you will need one of the following from the hardware store:

This floor flange
This 12" pipe
This end cap
and 4 black screws.

Total cost right around $12.46.

I used a piece of chunky chippy white wood cut down to a 5" square for my base.
If you don't have any old wood you can use a piece of new and paint and distress it to match your kitchen colors/decor.

Then you simply center the floor flange on the top of the wood piece and screw in place.

Screw in the 12" pipe, and finish off with the end cap.

If you can't find all black pipe fittings, you can spray paint them in a oil rubbed bronze spray paint to get the same look.

I think it's very unique and looks super cute!

Good idea! I actually don't like my paper towels out on the counter. We don't use a ton of them (try to be green LOL). We have a pantry that is in the kitchen and I have a paper towel holder on the inside of the door.
