~my experience with Revere Ware~{blackberry french toast}

I recently had the chance to try out REVERE* Ware.

I thought it would be fun to show you how I make my favorite french toast and homemade blackberry syrup, using my REVERE* Ware fry pans for the first time.

Start out with crusty french bread.

Day old bread works great.

Slice it in thick slices and coat in a mixture of egg, cream, and a pinch of cinnamon.

Heat a good frypan over medium to medium low heat.

Add butter, and then bread. Cook approx. 3-5 min per side, or until it starts to brown.

These stainless steel  pans seemed to cook very evenly and I like that the handle stays cool to the touch.

 While the french toast is cooking, you can get started on your blackberry syrup in another pan.

Mix 4 cups blackberry juice with 4 cups white granulated sugar.

{adjust according to how much syrup you want to make}

Bring to a rapid boil and boil for 2 minutes. Skim off any foam.

This will make a thin syrup. If you like a thicker syrup you can add less than an ounce of powdered pectin to the cold syrup and sugar mixture. 

 This is a great breakfast for a crowd that is easy and so good.
