I am off to spend time with my family for the holidays.
This is the first year my little sister won't be here with us, but I know she will be looking down on us from Heaven and that comforts me a little bit.
I am not gonna lie. It's been difficult.
Hard to watch my parents grieve over the loss of their child.
Hard to see my older sister cry.
Hard to spend holidays, birthdays, and special occasions without her.
But she will be forever in our hearts and I know we will be reunited someday.
Photo from Christmas morning 2010.
I thought I'd leave you with a few of my favorite images from Christmas' past.
There are so many memories we've shared in our home.
Here are a few that I thought we worthy of sharing again :)
This hot cocoa bar was a hit for the kids when they were younger.
It was also featured in Better Homes And Gardens magazine.
What I am always doing.
My favorite reading nook.
I think this was the first year I started really getting into pink for the holidays.
A pink candle and an apothecary jar is filled with pastel taffy on the coffee table.
This is back down by the reading nook. I hung fun flea market stockings to the deer hooks.
Another favorite spot in that same room, our ski lift chair.
The next two photos are from the Better Homes And Gardens magazine shoot.
I still have that advent calendar I made.
One of my favorites. Probably because of the blue and white.
Wishing you a happy holiday and a happy New Year!
See you in 2017
