modern farmhouse tour

Don't you just love it when you bump into friends that you haven't seen in a really long time?

I met my friend Lesa back when her son and our daughter Savannah were in preschool together.
She is the kindest person you'll ever meet.

Over the years we would keep in touch, but the past few years we lost touch, because life right?

But I happened to bump into her at Starbucks and that is when she told me she moved out of our little town and into the city. I was intrigued especially when she said her new home is a modern farmhouse style.

So fast forward a week or two and she invited me over to take a peek and was kind enough to let me take photos. She said they are still in the process of adding pieces in, but for the most part it was done.

Let me first give credit where credit is due. Enter the craftsmanship of Modern Den, and the designer Shelby. Shelby has a website coming soon but for now, if you are in the Seattle area and would like to contact her, she said it was ok to put her phone number on here. {425-894-6644}

To see the house complete before they moved in, visit this link to Modern Den.

As I type this I am still trying to comprehend all the goodness, attention to detail, and craftsmanship of this home. The lighting, the paint colors, the wall and ceiling treatments, the furniture, everything was just so well thought out and beyond beautiful.

The home was built in 1912 but was completely overhauled by Modern Den.

I can't wait for you to see all the detail this home has, are you ready?

Let me first introduce you to my sweet friend and her adorable four legged friend.

The dining room right off the kitchen is one of my favorite rooms in her home.

The table is like a piece of art and look at those crisp white walls with board and batten. Not sure the source for the ceiling light, anyone know?

The chairs add the perfect contrast. If you look closely you will see the most beautiful sconces on the back wall.

The centerpiece is kept super simple with some freshly picked flowers in a tray.

The kitchen and living room are one big area.

The coffee table is big and round and resembles concrete.
The stone bowl is from a local garden shop but I found a similar one here.

You can find the side table here and the nesting tables under the window here.

I love the blue island paired with the brass hardware. The pendants are called the machinist glass globe pendants from RH.

Don't you just love that ceiling treatment?  It makes such a huge impact in this space.

Let's go downstairs to the basement where there is an office, a kids room, a music room, laundry room, bathroom, and game/tv room.

She is waiting until she finds just the right artwork for the frames over the sectional. Love the pop of color in the pillows.

And now let's head up to the third floor.

They are still waiting on a few pieces to complete the master bedroom, but of course you know I love a bed covered in white bedding.

The master bathroom has such fun tile and angles in the shower. You gotta love these older homes!

The kids bathroom is also filled with gorgeous tile.

This faucet has always been one of my favorites.

Here is the link to the shower/tub faucet.

One last thing is the simple details of this light fixture and mirror in the entry.

I hope you enjoyed this tour. Thank you Lesa for letting us all take a peek into your beautiful modern farmhouse!

xoxo
