This project was one I came up with to cover up the "hello beautiful" sign on our porch for a more seasonal look. In this post you will learn how to make this Halloween BOO sign, quickly and easily.
For reference, this is what it looked like before:
I measured the lettering so I would know how big of a piece to get to cover it up, then I went thrifting.
I found this canvas piece that was the perfect size.
A couple coats of black paint and it was already on its way.
Next, print out your "boo" in the appropriate size.
I got my image here and used her free download.
Flip your paper over and scribble with pencil over the lettering on the back side.
Flip it back over, right side up, and tape to the center of your sign.
Trace around your lettering with a ballpoint pen, pressing hard, but not so hard you puncture the paper.
Remove the paper and fill in the lettering with white paint.
I used Velcro command strips hang it over my existing sign as to not damage it.
