Spring touches in our living room

 Welcome!

I am delighted to be participating in the 2020 Spring Home Tour hosted by @frenchcreekfarmhouse and I hope you'll visit all the amazing bloggers in this tour! You can find links to all of their homes in my blog post today.

If you are new here I would like to extend an extra warm welcome.
We are a family of four who live in the PNW on a small lake in a great community.

We purchased our fixer upper 22 years ago and have been working on it ever since.

I would best describe our style as modern farmhouse. We live a very laid back relaxed lifestyle with our 3 labs and 1 rabbit.

Our living room/family room is the first room you walk into off our deck. This entrance often gets mistaken as our front entry.

Upon entering you see this big gallery wall with vintage photos of our neighborhood and some of the old timers in them. They are very special to us. My husband grew up in this neighborhood and we love it immensely.

Our color palette is mainly black, white, cream, and grey, with touches of wood accents. This allows us to decorate seasonally and for holidays without changing too much.

For Spring I like to bring in the subtle colors of nature outside the windows.

Sage greens, dusty blues, and sometimes a bit of bush tones.
Fresh flowers are always a must in our home, but that doesn't mean I spend a lot of florals. Sometimes I cut branches from the yard, but most times I use filler like eucalyptus or babies breath. They both last forever and look great.

As you can see, it is so easy to add in a little bit of Spring color just with a few simple things like pillows, candles, and flowers.

I'm thrilled to be joining in today as 28 talented bloggers bring you the best of spring for all throughout the home! Please continue along this inspiring tour, and visit the other participants in each of the following categories.

You always know just how to mix and match rustic and natural elements in the most elegant way. Everything is just gorgeous. I love it all. PS: I didn't have a chance to leave a comment earlier this week but I love the updates to your bedroom too :) Hugs, CoCo

Your home is so calm and refreshing, Melaine! I always look forward to seeing what you'll do each season because it's just so inspiring. I especially love that gallery wall--wow!

And your neighborhood is one of my local favorites, too. I've been trying to get my parents to find a place there for years because I love it so much!

Everything looks so beautiful. Thank you for all of the ideas. I love your black shelving unit against the back wall. Do you have a source link for it? I would love to know where you got it from. Thank you.
