This project is fun because it is not only super cute, but it creates a great ambiance at nighttime.
These DIY outdoor tabletop tiki torches are easy to make with the right parts, and could make for a super fun girls craft night, so pin these images to come back to them later when social gatherings can happen!
For each torch you will need an empty liquor bottle, and the following:
Parts needed:
3/4" copper cap
1/2" x 3/8" copper coupling
1/2" copper pipe {1.5" lengths}
copper chain {6" lengths}
copper split ring
1/2" steel washer
Other supplies:
Tiki torch fuel
Use this one if you'd like to also keep the mosquitos and bugs away
wicks
funnel
Empty liquor bottles {If you don't have any, ask your family and neighbors to save theirs before they hit their recycle bin!}
Drill a small hole into the the bottom of the copper cap. Attach a 6" piece of chain with a split ring into the hole.
Cut your copper pipes to 1.5" lengths using a hacksaw.
Put a copper coupling onto the top of each piece.
At the bottom of the pipe, place your washer.
Then thread a wick through the entire piece.
Empty and clean out your bottles. Fill with fuel almost to the top.
insert your pieces you made. Drape the chain and cap around the washer.
Light and when you want to put out, place the cap on it.
As always, never leave an open flame unattended.
