our master bathroom organization & storage

It's been a few years since I made over our master bathroom for the One Room Challenge. Four years to be exact. In those four years, not a lot has changed and I say that a win! Nothing has changed because I feel like I made good solid decisions in picking out storage, paint colors, lighting, etc.

I still love the roman shade fabric so much.

One thing I do mess with quite a bit is organization. I am kind of an organizational freak. I like things to be easy to find. I don't like to have to search for items when I need them. I love that I know where everything is in this space.

The two cabinets {linking similar ones here} that flank the sink house so many things. Things I use on a daily basis, as well as extra sheets, and towels, and things like that.
They have glass front doors, so it's important to me to keep things tidy in baskets,
vintage locker baskets, and old wooden totes. Things that I like to look at.

Let's take a closer look at how I have these organized.

The one on the right, the first one you come to when you walk in, has my coffee maker in it. It might seem odd to have a Keurig in the bathroom, but coffee is the first thing I NEED in the morning. My husband who gets up before me, always brings me a cup in bed every morning. It has become a pretty nice little ritual if I say so myself.

I keep my mugs in a vintage wooden tray, and my coffee pods in a vintage locker basket.

Another thing I like to have while I am getting ready in the morning is music!
I got this great Tivoli audio system and I just love it. It fits perfectly on the top shelf next to a box that houses extra toothbrushes and toothpaste. I also like that it looks vintage but has all the modern amenities.

I keep the things I use on a daily basis {makeup, face wash, hairspray, etc.) in a vintage divided tote with a handle so I can grab it out in the morning easily. I have my makeup brushes and other items in mason jars to keep them together.

The cabinet on the other side of the sink holds quite a bit of things too. These items I don't use quite as often as the things in the other cabinet. This cabinet holds extra rolls of TP that I have stored in vintage locker baskets.

This chippy white wooden tote {similar} is one of my favorite things. I have had it for years and it has been used for a number of things. Right now it is holding extra pillow covers.

In the same cupboard, a galvanized tray holds beach towels while inexpensive clear jars hold extra toiletries.

On the bottom shelf I have 2 large fabric baskets that hold all of our extra sheet and bedding sets.

I like to keep the counter clutter free. My favorite soap and lotion set sits next to a container that holds my earrings and rings.

And on the other side my perfumes, a candle, and toothpaste and toothbrushes sit on a marble tray.

Are you ready to organize something? Make sure you are following me on Instagram to see all my pictures.

xoxo, Melaine

How do you store Sonicare, hair dryer, etc? I struggle with things that need to be plugged in and are needed everyday but look cluttered on the counter. Your bathroom is fabulous!
