DIY Christmas tree scented air fresheners

This project was so fun and so easy to make.

These DIY Christmas tree scented air fresheners were an idea I thought of after putting up my faux tree.

I love our fake tree but I really miss the scent of the real deal.

So, I decided to make my own Christmas tree scent in an all natural non toxic form, and turn it into a cute gift idea!

Grab a jar, any jar with a lid. A mason jar would work just fine. My jars were leftover from another project and are 9 oz, for reference.

Next you will need these water storing crystals, a measuring cup, essential oils, and water.

Mix 1 cup water with 1 Tablespoon + 1 teaspoon water storing crystals. Add in about 15 drops essential oils. Keep stirring until it thickens and little gel beads start to form.

When it is at the desired consistency, pour into your jars and screw on your lid.

Now is the time to embellish them!

You can print out my FREE printable below to hang from a ribbon.

Finally, add a little sprig of greenery, real or faux.

Simply unscrew the lid and place in a safe area, up and away from children or pets. The beads will absorb any odors in your house and naturally scent it with the smell of a fresh cut Christmas tree.

When they beads start to dry out, you can add a tiny bit more water to replenish.
