Every year something new sparks my interest when it comes to holiday decorating.
Whether I find a home in a magazine that has that magical feeling, or maybe it's as simple as a fun pillow, each year is similar yet very different.
This year I am not going to go over the top, and that is for a few reasons.
#1-We have some house projects going on that are creating a lot of dust and I don't feel like spending the holidays dusting particles off ornaments and branches.
#2-Simple to me feels right, and instead of going with a ton of things that scream Christmas, I want to go with more of the feeling of Christmas if that makes sense.
So, with that in mind, I have come up with what I think I will do.
So, this is how I plan to decorate for Christmas this year.
Lots of greenery.
I plan on mixing faux with real. We live in the beautiful PNW, so we are surrounded with pines and cedars. I plan on mixing those with boxwood sprigs out of the yard and faux eucalyptus I already own.
I love these bottle brush trees, so hoping to find a spot for them.
I just ordered this tray that I think I will put some Christmas items in, maybe on my coffee table.
I also plan to hit up some thrift stores for more glass candle holders.
I am going to use my favorite tree collar on our main living room tree.
Maybe fill a beautiful bowl with mercury glass ornaments.
I am also going to use my small frosted tree, and I really want one in my living room this year too!
I see lots of metallic ornaments, and even some pink ribbons!
