Our holiday home tour!

Happy first day of December! What better way to kick it off than a little holiday home tour! A huge thank you to Jennifer Rizzo for putting this together year after year. If you'd like to see the lineup of all the houses on the tour, head to her blog.

If you are here from Just Destiny's blog, welcome! I always love her home during the holidays.

We have a new front door to welcome you!
I love the modern farmhouse look so I mixed in some rustic touches like the tree in the basket, along with a more modern wreath. The home for the holidays doormat couldn't be more perfect for 2020.

The welcome sign I made to hide our power meter. It's on hinges so when they come to read it, it opens easily for them.

This year I collaborated on a winter pillow line with my friend Kendra of Linen And Ivory, so you will be seeing lots of different pillow combinations here!
I really do think pillows are the easiest way to change the look and feel of a whole room.

We have construction going on on the other side of this room so our tree moved locations this year!
It really was a happy accident though because I love it in this spot.

Which pillow combo do you prefer? I am usually a neutral girl, but I am loving the wine color and the traditional green with the red ticking.

One  thing that always remains on our couch though during the winter months, cozy blankets, and lots of them! This is my current favorite.

Our friend recently made this fireplace surround off of a picture I gave him.
It turned out better than I had hoped and we love having the fire on almost all the time.

I got a new swivel chair for the corner for better tv watching, and speaking of our tv, I am loving the art I found for it on Etsy.

Aren't the reindeer so sweet. That little touch of red is everything.

The pouf is a great footstool but also doubles as extra seating.

The dining room got some super simple touches this year. I found these raffia trees at a local shop and kept going back for more. Now we have a forest on our sideboard, but I love them.

My favorite little Target tree moved to the corner and is adorned in gold and silver ornaments.
I did a combination of steady white lights and twinkling white lights this year.

That mirror is still one of my faves.

The chairs can be found here.

Come back on Thursday to see how I decorated all of our bedroom for Christmas!
And in the meantime, head on over to my friend Courtney's blog at French Country Cottage to see the magic she created this season.

Melanie, I love your home. I love everything about it! Love how you mix rustic, modern and minimal, but it looks so warm. I love your beautiful stone fireplace and that lovely surround. The new front door is beautiful. I'm dying to get a frame TV. Oh, I also have been eyeing that chair in your living room for our bedroom. Is it really comfy? Wishing you a wonderful Christmas! xx
