starting fresh in the New Year

I took an unintentional week off and I really needed it!

We were cramming to wrap up a couple jobs before Christmas, and then Savannah came home from college on Christmas Eve.

It was nice to be able to step away from the computer and be 100% with family.

Now that the holidays are over, we are looking at another occasion.

Our son Cody is turning 18 on the 31st! I cannot believe how time flies.

We are thinking about a few new things for our home in 2021. Some are outdoor projects that won't happen until the spring.

Cody would like to add a loveseat in his room so he can have more places for friends to sit. We've measured out his space and think we found one. This is the perfect petite size and the right color and look.

We would have to change out his desk chair to something that fits snuggly inside the opening, and our dining room chairs are perfect. I love the look of them so it's a win win.

Savannah will be moving home in the Spring more than likely and she is going to need a desk in her room for school.

Again, we have a very specific spot that it can go so finding something the right size will be key.

She would like a white one with gold on it which will be interesting in her room, haha. Trying to find something we both like.

We both like this one as a contender.

But honestly I'd like to see something wood, or even

Or this one:

No huge rush for either. Honestly I will probably keep my eyes open on Facebook Marketplace and local stores. I also want to see what our RH outlet has to offer.

It's always so hard justifying purchases like this right after Christmas.

It feels good starting fresh in the New Year though, especially this one!

Do you have any projects you are working on in your home?

xoxo, Melaine
