tour this modern update on traditional home

My Friend Teri of Teri Gilbert Design recently helped a client make over the first floor of her home.

I went the other day to see it and was blown away. I love, love, love touring other peoples homes and seeing different styles, and so I thought it would be fun to share it here with you today!

When you walk in the home the formal living room is off to the right, and the dining room sits behind that.

A lot of the fussy millwork was taken down and the walls were given a fresh coat of neutral white paint.

CANDLE HOLDERS

The homeowner actually painted these canvas' and plans to have them mounted in gold floating frames.

I love the tones of caramel, blacks, creams, and golds.

A coffee table has still yet to be picked out.

The eat in kitchen also got a makeover with new concrete counters, rustic wood floating shelves, and painted cabinets.

The result is a light bright airy space that is just happy!

And finally, the family room off the kitchen got a new mantle to match the kitchens open shelves, and the built in's got a fresh coat of paint as well.

A huge thanks to the homeowner for letting me share it with you!
