With summer quickly approaching, I decided to try my hand at making one of my favorite outdoor games, corn hole.
It actually wasn't too hard. On a scale of 1-10 I would say it falls maybe around a 6.
I was inspired by this cornhole game that was featured in Country Living magazine.
So, I am not the best at tutorials, but I will try my best to explain how I made this, and maybe you can make one too!
SUPPLY LIST
1 and a half sheets of 1/2" plywood
8 feet 3 inches 2x2's to secure pieces together underneath
Wood glue
Finish nails
Jigsaw or 6" hole saw
Beanbags - see below for further details
I made the diagram above to show the dimensions of the pieces.
Hopefully by seeing that diagram and my finished photos it will be fairly self explanatory on how to piece it together.
There is also a lot of great articles on the web for putting these together with more detailed instructions.
Once your pieces have been cut and it is put together, you can begin painting it.
You can get creative with this, making any pattern you choose.
I painted mine with white exterior paint all over and finished it with chocolate brown stripes.
And finally I added our monogram using this technique.
After that all dried I finished off with an outdoor Varathane.
Next, you'll need bean bags.
I bought these ones.
However, I wanted to take them up a notch and match them to my boards, so I covered them in fabric.
Here are the fabrics I used:
You can use any fabrics scraps you have.
And here is the finished product!
Hours of summer fun for family and friends right there!
xoxo

This looks like so much fun!
Very nice game and easy enough to do with this guide is even easier, with us children have always played and they spent a lot of time playing the game. We played as a kid as there were no video games yet, creativity in inventing new games was huge. We've done some interesting games with everything. A great guide. Regards Podnośniki Polska
