how to make an edible fruit salad summer wreath

Hello and welcome to My Sweet Savannah!

I have a fun idea for you today that is super cute and a unique spin on the typical fruit salad recipe.

Today I want to show you how to make an edible fruit salad summer wreath!

What makes this so fun is the use of mint leaves. This is what gives it that wreath vibe.

I made mine on a round cutting board. If you don't have one, you can use a large round plate or something similar.

To start, I laid my mint leaves out in a circular pattern following the lines of my board.

What is fun is that the mint leaves have a curved shape to them typically, so it is fairly simple to place them in a circular pattern with the leaves facing the same direction.
Save a few leaves out to tuck in at the end. I used about 3 small packages of mint leaves.

You can chop up fruit for this or you can cheat like I did and buy it already chopped up. I did cut some of the pieces down as well, because they just looked too large.

I used:

watermelon
blackberries
cantaloupe
red grapes
strawberries
pineapple
and mango.

Place them on top of the leaves, to the center of the leaves, and around the outside, all in a random pattern.

The fruit tastes so good after sitting on the mint leaves, even for a short time. It's very refreshing and reminds me of summer and drinking mojitos!

Once the fruit is all eaten up, you can save the mint leaves for future recipes.

I think this fruit salad would be super fun served with mint infused lemonade.
